Uncle Scrooge: "The Pelican Thief" Alternate Cover!

Just because I like it, here's an Australian "alternate cover" to the story I titled "The Pelican Thief" -- published in UNCLE SCROOGE # 403!

It's practically a faux-sixties Gold Key UNCLE SCROOGE cover in its logo design and character staging!  With clever lifting and repositioning of different interior images, to boot.

And, being Australian, this was probably the very same issue which supplied the "translation" from which I crafted the American English script.

Sure Marco Rota did it better, as seen on the cover of # 403... What DOESN'T Marco Rota do better?!

But this is an interesting curio as well... and it has something in common with UNCLE SCROOGE # 403.  It ALSO has no scripting credit for yours truly!  (Moan!)

That's right. Thanks to collector Thomas Jensen (of Copenhagen) for supplying it to me.

Well, I hope Thomas gets to see a copy of this version. Can you arrange for that?

It’d be interesting to get his reaction to our work, as he could be considered something of a “uncle” to it!
